There are simply gorgeous women that roll on the perfect shade of luscious crimson lipstick called “Corvette Red” or simply “Caliente” and they are just that — hot. And I love those ladies and I admire their bravado. But I started Rock That Red as a public, social experiment and campaign to enforce boldness in everyone.
It’s about wearing red lips and nails for ten days – everywhere and seeing wtf happens. No other make-up required. It’s not about dressing up, it’s about being witnessed. It will be intense to wake up at 6 a.m. and make those lips stand out like a STOP sign. STOP, LOOK, LISTEN!!!
You, or yous as they say in Brooklyn, are my girls, my homies, my women to be the founding broads of this movement, with bold attitudes and the nerve to take this on. Then we can inspire the world. So many haven’t looked in a mirror or hide behind the I hate make-up rap. Many are afraid or think it will make them trashy or cheap or their country or religion won’t support their desire to look special and stand out. We need to honor those stories and at least give them a voice.
Take the challenge: Rock that Red for ten solid days and take videos, selphies or email me your journey. rockthatred on Instagram Rock That Red on facebook
