Worry… that state of, does nothing to help, often renamed with over used psycho-trendy terms like processing… “I’m processing what happened”, or didn’t happen, that text, comment, break-up… or trauma that I can’t get past – for my whole life! And most definitely, my past lives. And yes, I’m totally on board with feeling the feels, (Passion is my middle name) but what it usually, really means is, I’m obsessing nonstop! And knowing when and how to reframe, un-block and let go of that thinking/worrying about the mishap, okay I mean, really bad, scary, sad situation – ain’t always so easy but… IS VERY IMPORTANT. Our negative reactivity must be monitored and dealt with. We are literally wallowing in stress and it must change.
Yoga, meditation, walking, hiking, breathing, gardening, cooking, dancing, soaking in the tub with lavender Epsom salts and yea, even watching tik-tok, although that’s a whole other kind of addiction, are all good for you and way better then that manic inner voice that won’t laugh, or even smile. Oh, and I personally highly recommend finding the perfect energy healer (pm me for mine) But…
BUT, hugging your cat or dog is an extremely easy and in fact, instant remedy. And before you know it, that googoo baby talk, “Yas you’re the cutest snuggy buggy boo”, fills your head and pours out of your mouth. And before you know it, you’re throwing a ball and or stuffed mouse or chewy toy across the room and flopping around until you both collapse on the bed… curled up, together. Happier and calmer.
Hence, my answer to worry, is furry. The fast and the furriest.
