Yearly… dearly

Dear Me and You,

2022, another Biatch of a year… in a good way, mostly. I am lucky enough to have been born an optimist. I see the glass half full, hold my head high and most of the other clichéd expressions related to being a happy camper. The world has been a rough place, goin’ on a few years now and even a bit more personally but still, I laugh a lot and see beauty all around me. Not so for many. My work is physically and somehow, by nature, intimate. People trust me with their secrets, pain, sadness, fear, angst and blatant stresses. I honor their experiences and always try and offer any freakin’ remedy I can think of. Make one new friend this week, take a yoga class, cook something yummy, tell him, or her, or them to f-off and give you space to calm down and breathe. Oh… and don’t answer your phone for a day… or two. Then I rub their hands and or feet and add some Reiki to my cbd cream cocktail.

And every single night, I think about the kindnesses I have shared with people, and how I love my home, my cat and my plants… four gardens full, sometimes five (my neighbor’s) I don’t say any of this for likes, but more to remind anyone listening to find ways, big and small, to love yourself just a little more in 2023. And, an easy way of doing that is to make the effort to be kind to others AND YOURSELF! Not a new concept but one that many forget too often.

Make next year a good one. #hugyou
