That Girl

Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.

I don’t have children, I have nieces. But I do have friends with kids and I myself am a bit of an overgrown teenager. My nieces thought I was in my twenties until a few years ago. (I kid you not) Maybe it’s because I wear empire dresses like I did when I was seven, only now over jeans or leggings. I am child-like but also serious. I care deeply, especially about others that have less and need more. More money, more attention, more help, more.

Recently I became aware of some amazing young women that also care deeply, so much so that they are reaching way outside their comfort zones and personal fortunate circumstances to help others. These dolls are not spending their day texting from the mall or scouring facebook and Instagram, but rather using their voices and presence to change the world. They are that girl.
