Rock That Red! Daisy Parra

Yup… ROCK THAT RED!! Wear red lips around the clock for ten days, to work, school, the mall, food shopping, dropping off the kids, to the gym, yoga, spinning, Pilates, walking the dog, making dinner, in the bath… and see what happens.

Then tell us please, we’ll post photos and videos, blog and tweet. Good and bad and scary and fabulous… we want to know how red lips affect your daily experience…

“Red is the color of rubies, roses, and strawberries. For centuries, its represented beauty, passion, love, and in many cultures, happiness. When I wear the color red, I feel powerful; confident. But I would have never know this if I hadn’t taken the risk to do so in the first place. And that what red lips taught me, to take risks. Coming from a strict home where it took me a while to learn to be myself and step out of my comfort zone, I remember the first change I decided to do was wear red lipstick more often. Since I grew up thinking bold, flashy colors for makeup such as red was “inappropriate” to wear on a daily basis, when I finally did it was like I had become a new person.

Sure I felt a little awkward at first and shy, but after a while I grew confident, secure, and to a certain extend more brave! And the best part is that I learned that I didn’t just have to wear it on a special occasion. I wear it because it makes me feel sexy and beautiful at the same time. I have to admit, red definitely has a way of drawing a little bit of extra attention. Which quite honestly, I don’t mind at all! I mean, what girl would right?!

I believe every girl deserves to look beautiful but importantly feel beautiful and for me, red lipstick is definitely a friend of mine! I simply love it! 🙂
